A little love...

These brass beads are so awesome!  I can't wait to get them out again and make some pretty things with them!  And add in the red, these earrings are perfect for Valentine's Day!

I don't often wear big earrings, and these are, but if I'm going to go big, I'm going to go bold and dramatic!  These are definitely all of that!  They aren't so big, at almost 2 inches, that they'll bug your ears though!

Ok, back to making dinner and playing with the baby!  I just wanted to show you these fun earrings!

To Mix and Match

I love bold colors, but I love color in general.  And I especially like mixing colors together.  It's why I make such a wide variety of items, often in different hues.

These two bracelets have slightly different sized beads but are paired with brass findings.  I'd love to wear them together, but I can't keep all of the jewelry I make. ;)

New Design - Three Strand Wire-Wrapped Beaded Bracelets

I love wire wrapping... My hands don't after a while, but it's worth it when the designs turn out so pretty, like these bracelets. 

They are made of antique brass and Czech glass.  They close with a toggle clasp which make them easy to take off and put on.  

They are each $25 and available on my Etsy site, along with quite a few new pieces. :)

Squared

Just like in my last blog post A Little Noisy, I used these square drops because I love the noise they make. Oh, and they look cool.  ;)

For these earrings, I used seven drops that hang from a hoop with a bunch of glass beads on it.  They do make little tinkling noises when they hit against each other.  I love the raspberry the most (don't tell the others) but they all look so good next to the brass.

I've been making so many new things lately and I'm really trying to keep the pictures coming.  :D  I hope you enjoy.  And back to work I go!

A little noisy...

My mind has been running a mile a minute lately.  I've had to make some changes in my work-life to make myself happy.  I'm really excited to say that I'm cutting my hours at my day job and that I'm able to now focus on JBC quite a bit more.  I'll be doing shows more often and I am planning an open house in the near future.  I'm very excited. :)

One thing to calm my crazy brain is creating jewelry or knitting when I can.  Jewelry has won out lately since it's getting warmer (finally) and it's been great.  I feel like I'm creating things that I love, that I hope everyone else does too.

These necklaces came to me out of the blue. I was just staring at my beads and findings, feeling a little blah.  And in popped an idea to use all these square drops... And they turned out awesome.

The squares, as you move, make little tinkling noises against each other.  Not annoyingly so, but subtle.

I've been working all afternoon since I got home and my brain has finally slowed down from the race.  Now to get to bed and dream about new things to create.

The Long and Short of It...

Usually my jewelry is pretty dramatic. I like big bold earrings and necklaces... it's what I wear after all.

And then sometimes I make things that I love... that surprise me.  Because they aren't so big and fun and crazy.  But they are still lovely and unique and bold, but more mellow.  Like these earrings:

Here is one of the pairs that are a little wild and crazy and fun! They are 4.25 inches long and amazing in their simplicity too. Their sheer size and length make them sassy.  They will be available online shortly too, but if you want them, call dibs in comments.  :)

And here I go to my day job again where I'll be dreaming of creating pretty things when I have a second or two to think.

Spotlight - On Our Side

Spotlight on the On Our Side earrings!

I feel like I create a lot of things, but never really get a chance to explain why I make them and why I name them certain ways.... So I'm going to do a Spotlight on certain pieces so you can get a peek into my brain.  :D

This earring design came to me after I had been doing inventory and I realized that I had a bunch of really funky jewelry, but lacked simpler pieces with just a little less sass.  In case there are people out there who aren't as sassy as me....  Or less flashy.  (Note: I can be a bit of a diva. I admit my faults.)

They are still a little long at 2 inches from the earhook, so they have substance, but are sleek since they only have the one strand of the two beads.  I picked four colors that I thought looked amazing next to the antique brass beads and findings.  They translucent beads look amazing, I think.

The name came from a song.  You may have heard it- Time is on my Side by The Rolling Stones! I had this song stuck in my head for a week. It was driving me bonkers, but it fit the earrings.  The vintage feel, but they really won't go out of style.... Time is on your side with these guys.  :D

It's 18 inches around, but, or course, I can adjust it for the winner!

Offcenter Necklaces

Color for May

I haven't had much time lately to make things... And that makes me sad, but I'm free this weekend to do whateva I want!  :D  I have a few custom orders to do and I hope to just knock out some stunning pieces!

Color for June!

My newest necklace design, the Offcenter, is a bit funky, definitely fun and easy to wear, but mainly short.  I don't do many short necklaces....  I'm not biased against them... And I even own quite a few, but I just tend towards longer ones!  :D  I'll try to work on that though, for the short necklace fans! 

I've only made three colors so far, but I'm thinking white would just look amazing with the brass beads mixed in too...  Or bright yellow, maybe?

Two strands of chain, two strands of beads... It's all about balance in the style, but the beads were all added at random, so they are off center!  :D

New Bracelets - Suspended

I've had the steel gray, red and caramel version of Suspended in my shop for a while, but I recently made a few new colors.  First was white, because I love white in the summer. It's just so fresh.  I know they say that every year, but it's so crisp and clean!  :D

Lavender was soon to follow, but the green is my favorite.  Bright, vibrant green.  It's just so summery and fun!

I love this design especially for layering.  They are wonderful alone, but look great doubled or tripled or with sterling bangles.

I made myself one in a smoky gray faceted bead and I wear it with my bangles and with another bright colored bracelet.  It's just such a great combo.

Each bracelet is roughly 8 inches long and made of Czech glass beads.  All metal is antiqued brass.

I was going to blog about these earrings yesterday, but I never got to it. They sold today but I still wanted to share them!

Dainty little earrings aren't my usual design, but I loved the flowers and didn't want to do anything too dramatic.


















I was amazed when I asked on my facebook fan page if I should make them in other colors and several people said they want them in ALL colors.

I told you I was going to be a listing machine this week! I'm like... *tries to think of a cool girl robot that is fast*... Hrm... That chick from the Terminator TV show? She kind of scares me though.

I ♥ these bracelets! I'm fairly basic in what I wear everyday... 3 bangles, a cuff and a bracelet Joe bought me. Every. Day. And, I'm ok with that, but I love throwing some random bracelets in too just for fun!
