Woof woof!

That's tea cup poodle speak for "holy moley, it's cold in Minnesota!" and Saturday it was chilly and windy, but still beautiful!

I don't know about you, but I can't pass up a brand new puppy.  You see it and you just HAVE to pet it, right?  Well, a lovely lady named Sue (on the right) was walking past me on the sidewalk and I saw her little pup just snuggled up near her neck.  Of course I asked to hold it.  Turns out it's a boy, but he was nameless since she had just adopted him two hours before.

I was wearing a cowl I made and he just tried to climb right in...  Ok, I admit, I'm a softie and it was so freakin' cute that it brought tears to my eyes.  *sniffle*  He's just so cute!  Well, I took it off and told Sue that it was hers.... Just so she could snuggle her baby boy up!

Look how sweet he is!  Just a little doll!  I just couldn't stand for him to be chilly, so I feel like I helped someone/something out that day.  Made me feel good about myself.... It was small, but it was something, right?

I'm thinking I don't do enough good deeds in a day, so that's a new goal... To try and make someone else's life better every day.

Woof Woof!

Giveaway for September

I let my awesome facebook fans decide what was to be given away and they chose a necklace!

I've had this idea for a necklace in my head for a while, but little time to create it....  I found some and made it even better than I imagined.  It was antique brass chain and findings along with hex cut seed beads and three types of Czech glass- solid black rounds, Montana blue rounds and faceted AB black beads.  And they are all twisted and woven together!

It's 18 inches around, but, or course, I can adjust it for the winner!

Here's what you have to do:

1. Leave a comment telling me why you want this necklace! This is the only mandatory step!
2. If you blog about this giveaway, leave a separate comment with the blog link. Your blog post must link back to this giveaway post. Once the post is verified, you'll have one more entry. This step is optional and can only be completed once.
3. If you twitter about this giveaway, leave a separate comment with the twittered link. Your tweet must link back to this giveaway post. It should also include my twitter username "@jennybunnyrocks". Once the tweet is verified, you'll have one more entry. This step is optional and can only be completed once.

6. Leave a safe way for me to contact you. If I can't contact you, you can't win.

Crazy... Crazy... Crazy....

Holy carp... It's been since the beginning of June that I blogged last.  It's been a wild couple of months....

I have only a picture to explain part of the craziness.....  Yes, that is my car.  Yes, the back hatch fell off.  Yes, this is my life.

ON a happy note, it's getting fixed.  And I'm over the hysterical crying... Because, really, who's hatch falls off their car!?

Anyway.  Back to awesome things.

I have new jewels.  Lots of them.

Like these:

Heavy Metal is made of Miyuki Hex Cut Seed Beads.  A whole lotta strands in three different colors.  It's my new favorite piece too.  I'm going to make one for myself soon!

Orange Dreamsicle is super yummy... I'm digging the silver with the tangerine.  A sunny, summery combo!

There are a whole bunch of new things on my etsy site... This post would be forever long if I added them all.

Another good thing:  I'm having a sale on both of my sites until the 18th with coupon code "LoveIt" for 20% off your whole order!  Yay, right?

I love custom orders!

I really do love them.

This here is a pair of earrings for a lovely gal named Sandra! She was at a house party hosted by a friend and she loved the earrings that were in my giveaway here, but wanted them in black!  I didn't have the same sized wire for the outer ring, but I had a slightly bigger gauge.  The new version are more substantial, but also sturdier.

These babies are no small pair of earrings.  At just about 2 inches around, they are a showy, shiny pair.

Each hoop was cut to size, then fused together.  I hammered, filed, hammered some more, then filed, and then polished them to a sheen. I love the slightly darker parts where the hammer hit and the polish just can't reach.  So pretty!

Custom orders are my fave, darlings, so if you see anything you like, but would like it in a different color, just holler!  :D

Offcenter Necklaces

Color for May
I haven't had much time lately to make things... And that makes me sad, but I'm free this weekend to do whateva I want!  :D  I have a few custom orders to do and I hope to just knock out some stunning pieces!

Color for June!
My newest necklace design, the Offcenter, is a bit funky, definitely fun and easy to wear, but mainly short.  I don't do many short necklaces....  I'm not biased against them... And I even own quite a few, but I just tend towards longer ones!  :D  I'll try to work on that though, for the short necklace fans!

I've only made three colors so far, but I'm thinking white would just look amazing with the brass beads mixed in too...  Or bright yellow, maybe?

Two strands of chain, two strands of beads... It's all about balance in the style, but the beads were all added at random, so they are off center!  :D

I hope you have a lovely weekend!  Thanks for reading!

Special Color for June: Turquoise!

It was an even toss here on the blog from those who voted. Half said the granite color, half said turquoise. One person commented on facebook with turquoise making it the winner!

I think, not only will I use the turquoise colored beads, but I'll toss out some REAL Turquoise for fun too! :D

Thanks for voting!

Any thoughts on the colors for July?

New Bracelets - Suspended

I've had the steel gray, red and caramel version of Suspended in my shop for a while, but I recently made a few new colors.  First was white, because I love white in the summer. It's just so fresh.  I know they say that every year, but it's so crisp and clean!  :D

Lavender was soon to follow, but the green is my favorite.  Bright, vibrant green.  It's just so summery and fun!

I love this design especially for layering.  They are wonderful alone, but look great doubled or tripled or with sterling bangles.

I made myself one in a smoky gray faceted bead and I wear it with my bangles and with another bright colored bracelet.  It's just such a great combo.

Each bracelet is roughly 8 inches long and made of Czech glass beads.  All metal is antiqued brass.

$25 each

If you would like one, but in a different color, just holler at me here: jennybunnyetsy@yahoo.com and we can get that going!  You can find the other colors of the Suspended bracelets here.

Thanks for reading!  Have a great day!

Special Color for June

Last month I decided to do a "color of the month". I went with tangerine, since a lovely lady at a party suggested it.  This month though, I'm letting my awesome fans pick it out!

Here are the options!

This is turquoise blue. I've used it before and I love it! Blue seems like such a summer color, so I thought I'd pop it in here....

I've also used this bright yellow before because, well, I love bright yellow. It's a very fun summery color, right?

This one is glass, but it's called granite. It has a wonderful light green design. Very textural.

I'll have a poll on the right until the end of the month... Short notice, I know, but I'm slow sometimes! :D

Feel free to comment on what you think the July colors should be too!

New Pretties!

Loving faceted glass lately....  Just can't seem to get enough of it!  What do you think, darlings?
Hollow $25

Cornflower $8
Hollow in White $25

Hollowed Out $15

Sweettart $12

Squared $15

New Colors

These Heat Earrings have been my favorite design since I started making them. They are also my biggest seller.

Since it's Spring (well, it's trying to be Spring in Minnesota) and I love bright, fun colors, I thought this turquoise blue would be a nice new addition.

It's such a pretty, sweet color.

I've also decided to do a color of the month.... I'm going to let my fans vote from now on, but I picked TANGERINE for May.  I'm so in love with the pale orange, though I'm thinking I'll purchase the bolder, brighter Tangerine in Opaque next.  Orange is my favorite color, so why not, right?

The Heat in Tangerine are so summery...  I just love it!

All Colors of Heat are $15. You can purchase them on my site here or at Jenny Bunny on Etsy.

I got such rave reviews of my Flower Girl Earrings when I posted them on my facebook page that I just had to make more!  Here are six of the new colors.  I've even designed a new necklace to match, since a dear fan, Katrina, asked for that too!  She's been such a big help naming things, I couldn't deny her!

Facebook Fans get updates before everyone... Find Jenny Bunny on Facebook to be the first to know all the goings on!

Silver Is In

I've been listing a bunch of different items on etsy lately. Usually it's my antique brass designs, but quite a few silver pieces have been popping up too!

I just listed the Sky earrings today ($20).

The turquoise glass makes me wish that it hadn't just snowed last night.... It would be wonderful to see some sun and bright blue sky!

The Droplet earrings ($25) are one of my new favorites because they are so shiny.  Just imagine the sunlight hitting these... They would blind someone with their blinginess!  :D

I had a miniature version of them too, but they sold at a home party I had last weekend.  I'll have to make more since they are so cute.  Any colors you'd like to see?  Or should I stick with the shiny faceted beads?

Broken ($25) was a happy accident... I was being slightly impatient, which I'm known for, and the metal separated instead of fusing.  They were going to be a round hoop like the Sky earrings, but they have a little extra funk going for them now.  You can't see the gap in the picture, so you'll have to click the picture or link above!

I'm thinking of doing the Droplet design with these clear faceted AB finished beads.  They might be even shinier!

Round and Round it goes, where it stops, no one knows!

The Round and Round ($15) earrings are my most basic design.   They are about 1 inch in diameter.  I've done a few different finishes on them too.

To the left is the tarnished pair. I liked the black, but I polished just the edges for some added fun. You can find the original, shiny silver pair here: Round and Round in Silver!

I'm not feeling so swell today, thanks to my darling fiance.  He gave me his cold.  Otherwise, I'd run to my table and start making more silver pieces.  I think I'll take a quick nap instead!

Thanks for reading my blog!  I did just remodel it a little so let me know what you think!

Flower Girl

I was going to blog about these earrings yesterday, but I never got to it. They sold today but I still wanted to share them!

Dainty little earrings aren't my usual design, but I loved the flowers and didn't want to do anything too dramatic.

I was amazed when I asked on my facebook fan page if I should make them in other colors and several people said they want them in ALL colors.

What color do you think I should make them in next?

Vicious

I spent 4 solid hours yesterday just creating! I hadn't even realized four hours had gone by until my stomach rumbled. I hadn't eaten ANYTHING all day. But that's okay though since I made 11 necklaces and 5 pairs of earrings.... and then I made a big dinner too.

The Vicious Necklaces are a few of my favorite pieces that I made yesterday. I have all 6 colors listed on my big cartel site, for you non-etsy users. Only three colors, the cream, lavender and cobalt will be available here: Jenny Bunny on Etsy. (I may get list-happy and add all the colors, but for now only those three are available!)

What's your favorite color?

Four Years

It's been four year since I opened up shop on Etsy. Time has flown. I can't believe it. I look back at what I was creating at first and it blows my mind how much my art has changed.

I just want to say thanks to all my fans, friends and family who have supported me over the years.

Thank you. Thank you. Thank you!

Sweetness

I've been listing like a fiend again...

Usually I'll just post a link on my facebook page to any new items. I'd love to blog about them, yet I think I'd be blogging every day all day until I'm caught up.

BUT, I wanted to share my thoughts on these necklaces.

Usually I make big, funky or long, simple necklaces because, well, that's what I like. Several of my lovely fans let me know that they'd like shorter, simpler necklaces too. Who am I to deny my wonderful followers?

Along came Sweetness in green, purple and smoky gray. The smoky gray is gone already, to a great friend and future bridesmaid, but it was just so perfect for her. She's just dainty herself!

I didn't want to do just a chain with a little pendant because I was afraid that it would get overshadowed by it. It's such a simple pendant anyway, right?

I think the string of beads really adds to the sweetness of the necklace... Hence the name. And the beads in the pendant stand out a bit more with the string up there too....

AND, boy am I freckly!

What do you think? Love them? Hate them?

JB

P.S. New Giveaway up soon! You can vote HERE on my Facebook Page on whether a necklace, earrings or bracelet should be given away! Your input is greatly appreciated!

The End of March

So, this month is almost over... and I'm back in the swing of things.

I've listed many a pretty piece today, including the Swinging pair there to your right. Evidently I'm in a yellow phase, since I keep making and listing things that are yellow!

I even set it up where you can shop directly from my facebook page: Jenny Bunny Creations on Facebook. Click the "Shop Now" to see the two (yeah, only two so far) items available! I think it's a nice, easy way for everyone to shop.

ALSO, on that facebook page, if you scroll down a bit, you'll find one of those cool new Question thingies... And you can put your two cents in about what I should offer for the next giveaway! I love your input... especially when it comes to a giveaway...!

That's all for today... I'll be listing many a new things tomorrow also!

Hey, loves...

I was sick all of February and part of this lovely month, but I'm finally stepping back into the Bunny shoes. Cleaning and organizing are top priority right now, but I'll be listing new items as soon as I can get through about 100 photos and edit them all!

Maureen! That's you! I just sent you an email to let you know, but I had to let the other entries know too! :D

I think I really enjoy the less entries. Yeah, a whopping four people entered and Maureen did two! I would rather my loyal fans get the chance to win!

I hope your new year is starting out fantabulously!
