I'm a klutz

I'm surprised I have fingers left on my hands... I was cutting something this weekend.... And the knife slipped. *makes note to get knives sharpened* I have good reflexes though, so it only nicked me...

I was cleaning my food processor blade the other day though and it gashed me pretty bad... OUCH!

Onto the good things that happened this weekend- I was incredibly creative and cleaned a whole bunch! YAY!

Here are some of the newest things!

Photoshoottttttttttt....

Thank God my little sister is cute. And that I can take good photos... Or else the shoot would have been a bust.

Oh, and when we get together, things tend to get a little goofy.

Here are most of the photos.... Some were just too silly to post!

BREAD!

I love bread. It's a sickness! I make it constantly.... But I don't eat a terrible amount, which is nice... for my ass.

I couldn't even start to tell you how many calories I burn when kneading bread! It's amazing though, that the longer I do it, the more my hands hurt... But the next time, I can do it longer....

The bread tastes so much better than when I mix it in my bread machine....

It's the accomplishment of doing it myself that does it I reckon...

Oh, and seriously, for those of you who say making homemade bread takes forever- You are wrong. It took me about 30 minutes of prep time (spread out over hours) and 30-45 minutes to bake.

Technically you are only working for about 40 minutes! Easy as pie!

Oh! And...

As for that orange pretty scarf... I realized that I had two different kinds of orange yarn... So, it's not going to be long. It's going to be short and sweet. I just have to finish it now...

I'm slightly disappointed that it's not going to be long. I'm procrastinating on finishing it.... It'll be great when it's done though!

Oh no!

I catch myself falling back into bad habits lately...

I'm one of those people who start stuff.... work on it for a bit... Then forget about it. I'm trying really hard not to be though. The fact that someone, actually two someones, commented about wanting to see what I'm working on motivates me a bit more!

Cowls. I'm newly obsessed. But not boring bland cowls. Be prepared- They are adorable!

My sister will even be modeling them for me on Saturday! I hope to get them listed on my site-site on Sunday!

I'm so excited for fall!

It's my fave time of year and what's better than a little snuggle for your neck!?!?!? NOTHING!

Love!

It has been written...

That I suck at measuring... And planning out my freehand projects... SO, that being said, I just ripped apart a project for the tenth time. I have to admit, I'm amused though.

Someday it'll work out!

I can't wait to show off some new things soon! Sinces it's been colder, I've been knitting and crocheting! I hope you love them!

What a nice weekend.

I finally got my giftcard in the mail to Barnes & Noble on Friday... $50!!! I rarely spend the money on books I really want, so this was a splurge event for me!

I got three cooking books, an organization book, a knitting magazine..... And I'm in heaven!

I found this great book... 500 3-Ingredient Recipes and I love it! Mind, you there are "freebies" in the recipes- Like, water, flour, sugar are not counted in the recipes, among a few other things. Still, all the recipes are simple and easy. I made homemade granola, for God's sake... How sweet is that!

I was browsing through the knitting magazine and found an awesome artible on invisible cast-ons and bind-offs... I was hesitant to believe that they actually looked like the pics... But, seriously. It's amazing how nice the edges look. I'll link to the magazine when I can remember the name! I forget!

Anyway, it was my dad's birthday on the 11th and we celebrated on the 13th. FOOD! My sister made this mac'n'cheese... Oh. My. God. It was so good. It's the only kind I'll ever make ever again. Ever. Four Cheese Macaroni from AllRecipes- We did add more cheddar. I know that seems crazy when you read the recipe, but my family likes it cheesy.

Sunday was my day of rest... yay. Though I did get some knitting/crochet done... and read A LOT!

Hope everyone had a great weekend!

Orange you Glad!

I've been working on a new scarf. In orange. I love orange. I love soft yarns too.

This lace pattern was a little above my knitting abilities a few months ago, so I just admired it from afar.

I could not understand the "YO" thing. YO = Yarn Over.

Once I figured it out, I just went crazy on a pattern from The Caffeinated Crafter's Blog... I can't remember which post it is... You'll just have to find the waves and fans pattern!

I love her blog too, by the way. She's one smart cookie when it comes to crafting.

The pattern I used here though was one from a book that was published in 1960-something. The pics are to die for! I love it!

I just wanted to share the progress! It's a wide and warm scarf... Almost done... I need to add another foot and then do the finishing. I'm debating on fringe. I love fringe. But we'll see!

Allergies.

I have allergies. My cats have allergies. It's a funtastic sneezing fest at my house.

Cassie, the cute little black and white girl, has been a sneezer for most of her life, I've been told. We just got her... Wow, about a month ago! She's still bitchy. :)

Brutus is a new sneezer... I was a little concerned about him, but then thought back... and realized he does sneeze when it's dusty... So, I'm not so worried anymore....

I can't wait to have kids... I'll be constantly panic stricken....

Probably not... I'll just learn to drink heavily.

I'm being such a smartass today... lol.

Here is the real reason for the posting... since I'm sure my facetious nature is getting boring.

Some new rings! The are called Loop-di-Loop! Sterling silver and glass beads are two of my favorite things and I seriously LOVE these! They run on the small side though, so I can't really keep one! (I have fat fingers!) Aren't they so cute?!
