I know I always say this...

But I've been busy. Sometimes I feel like I don't stop working. And my down time is so precious.

Well, I've been experimenting with my torch and the way I want items to look when I work with it. My hands are nice and smooth from all the filing... Oh, and I've learned to put my hair back... :)

Anyway. New things coming soon... Then I'll be back to blogging everyday and annoying you!

Lessons.

I have many things to learn. "They" say, if you stop learning, you die.. I don't know who "they" are, but "they" say it. At least, I've heard "they" say that...

Well, last night, I spent four hours with my torch and a pile of Argentium Silver. Yes, four hours. It was great too. I made my first pair of earrings. Mind you, they aren't perfect, but they are pretty. Perfectly my style even. I can't wait to show them off.

Fusing has taught me to have a bit more patience. Metal can't be rushed when you are melting it... It's amazing to watch it go from it's silver color, to slightly darker and finally to molten red. I'm really quite amazed with it.

The main reason I'm so into fusing though, is the fact that I can make my own headpins. Headpins, even though so little, tend to cost big bucks. It's much cheaper for me to make my own! I can also pass on that reward to my customers... I hate overcharging. I DO charge for my time, so if I'm fusing, my items are going to be more expensive anyway. Making my own headpins will just make my items more affordable!

I can't wait to keep learning and showing off my items... Hopefully they just keep getting better!

Get down with the sickness.

I'm seriously down with it... I don't know if it's the flu or what, but I'm tiiiiiired... and my belly hates me. But whatever. I'll get better. Right?!

I hope so.

I've been in a weird mood while sick. Highly motivated yet dragging my rear. I'm really trying to branch out and try new things and make better things.

I know I really want to do more shows and home parties. I'm having a hard time marketing I guess. I know my blog can only do so much... Twitter only so much, facebook too. I'm working on it though!

Getting Schooled...

So. Finally after much debate... with myself, I've decided to take a class on how to fuse sterling silver. I'm really excited and can't wait to take my jewelry to a whole new level!

I get the basic idea of how to fuse metals, but the whole torch/fire thing threw me off! I'd like to learn from someone who knows what they are really doing before doing it alone. I wouldn't want to ruin a bunch of sterling, right?

So, Monday, I'm taking the class and I can't wait!
