Item of the Day - Multicolor Handknit Wool Scarf

I looooooove this yarn.  And I can't find it anymore.  Boo!  It's just so soft and warm and supple and yummy and... I'll stop now.  It just gets cold here in Minnesota and wool helps. :)

I was really on a kick making random colored and rowed scarves. I think I need to get back into that because this scarf is pretty cool.  It's shorter than most, but the fringe makes up for it.  It's perfect for one loop around the neck or you could even knot it so it stays secure.

I just love the change in the yarn. It goes from so chunky to super thin.  It makes the piece have an almost wave pattern to it.  Very fun!

$35

Item of the Day - Fuschia and Purple Big Cowl

This yarn is not the easiest to work with, but I love how it turns out. Each skein has a wonderful change in colors and this is one of my favorites.  I just made a hat for my aunt too out of a pretty green and orange mix. Sounds odd, but it's super pretty.

Back to this cowl though... I love making adaptable, functional things to wear.  They do have to be pretty also, but function is number one for me.  From a cowl to a capelet, this one covers a couple of bases while doing it's main job of keeping you warm.  :)

I love the fun buttons too... I wish I had bought in bulk when I initially bought them.

I hope you enjoy this one since it's one of my favorites!  More to come soon!

Item of the Day - Crocheted Multicolor Cowl

Starting a new planned post series featuring different items of the day.  A little insight into the how and why I make them.  Click the photos to be taken to my etsy shop.  Also, if you see something you like but want it in a different color or size, please let me know at jennybunnyetsy @ yahoo . com.

Knitting and crocheting are two of my favorite things to do.  There is just something so cool about taking one thing and making it into something functional, that you can wear, that is cool looking.  I figure, if anything, I have a marketable skill in the case of a zombie apocalypse.  ;)

This yarn was a great find, but I can't remember what it's made of exactly!  DOH!  I love it though because it's shiny and soft and yummy.  I feel like such a dork that I can't find the paper wrapper that was around it.  I knocked off $5 from the price to make up for it.

$20

I'll be working at getting everything I have in my shop by Friday.  I haven't decided if I'll be having a Black Friday sale or not.  Yes?  No?

Item of the Day - Purple Czech Glass and Brass Earrings

Starting a new planned post series featuring different items of the day.  A little insight into the how and why I make them.  Click the photos to be taken to my etsy shop.  Also, if you see something you like but want it in a different color or size, please let me know at jennybunnyetsy @ yahoo . com.

I love this purple.  It's just so pretty.  And I love it so much next to the brass that I think I need to make more earrings similar to these.  *makes note*

I love the size of these guys.  The hoop is about an inch in diameter and the beads hang down a bit more so even though they look big and dramatic, they really aren't!

Item of the Day - Black Faceted Glass and Brass Bracelet

Starting a new planned post series featuring different items of the day.  A little insight into the how and why I make them.  Click the photos to be taken to my etsy shop.  Also, if you see something you like but want it in a different color or size, please let me know at jennybunnyetsy @ yahoo . com.

Initially I made this bracelet style in 6 different colors... And they were so amazing to see in person. I wanted to wear them all at once, but I'm colorful that way.  ;)  There are only three left, so I guess I need to make more...!?

When I make things, I often don't know what I'm going to make until I'm inspired by my supplies.  These bracelets were thought of for a while though. I love multistrand, colorful, but dainty jewelry... And, even though this is black, it has the AB finish on it that reflects light and has a pretty blue/green color to it.

Since each bead is individually wire wrapped, the bracelet isn't rigid. I just love them. Ok, fine, I'm making more. ;)

Item of the Day - Big Turquoise Blue Hoops

Starting a new planned post series featuring different items of the day.  A little insight into the how and why I make them.  Click the photos to be taken to my etsy shop.  Also, if you see something you like but want it in a different color or size, please let me know at jennybunnyetsy @ yahoo . com.

I love huge earrings.  Not that these are THAT big, but they have a lot of attitude!  And even though they are larger, they aren't very heavy. I think, if I had overdone (or done more) blue beads, they would have been.  Glad I didn't. :)

Turquoise with brass is one of my favorite color combos, so I use it often.  It is such an awesome contrast.

$16

Item of the Day - Slouchy Blue Hat

Starting a new planned post series featuring different items of the day.  A little insight into the how and why I make them.  Click the photos to be taken to my etsy shop.  Also, if you see something you like but want it in a different color or size, please let me know at jennybunnyetsy @ yahoo . com.

This hat is made from acrylic yarn in a bright cobalt blue.  The edge is ribbed, but I changed up the rib on the main part of the hat to be opposite of that. Just to make it interesting.  It's perfect for most size heads- unstretched it is 16 inches and maxes out at 24.  Easy to care for; you can just toss it in the washer and dry with normal clothes.

I like the loose fit of this style because it doesn't mess with my hair as much.  Silly, but true.  Also, I can get my mop of hair allll into the hat so it's out of the way.

 Slouchy Blue Hat
$20
I hope you enjoy the new daily posts.  I'll make sure to include other posts too so you don't get bored with me.  ;)

Paying it forward - Jaylee

It's my birthday in two days.  I'll be 32...  I'm okay with it.  I don't want anything physical, but I'd like some help if you can.

As you may know, my daughter was born 10 weeks and 1 day before she was due. She was so small but so feisty.  After exactly 2 months in the hospital, she came home.  This was us on our way home finally....

I met, Jessica, on a facebook group for preemies/NICU moms and dads.  She had her sweet little Jaylee at 29 weeks also.  Jaylee is bigger than my Lauren was, but will still need quite a bit of time in the hospital.

Driving back and forth to the hospital my girl had to be at was a huge expense. Along with food, gas, and the medical bills bills, things were starting to look tough.  Thankfully, I have some amazing friends and family that helped us out.  Even strangers, those people I can never thank, stick with me every day.  Every day that I watch my babe grow stronger and bigger, I thank them. EVERY DAY.

Now it's my turn to pay it forward-  So, for the rest of the month, for every piece of JEWELRY that sells in my etsy shop, I'll give 50% to their gofundme page!

Every penny helps, trust me on that.  So if you don't want jewelry, please donate.

xoxo
